Each compass direction has colors that enhance the natural energy to support you and bring better flow.
Let’s look at each direction and what it stands for.
The North stands for career and your spiritual path towards enlightenment. The element is water, and the color that activates water is blue. To activate your spiritual path, place blue or black items in the north area of your home.
The South stands for fame, recognition and entertainment. The south’s element is fire, and the south is activated by fire colors such as red, orange, ruby red, purple and yellow. If you are in the entertainment business, or if you want to be recognized for your achievements in your line of business, then you want to activate the south by placing fire colors in the south area of your home, or the south of your office.
The East stands for health, family and new beginnings. If you want to improve your health, your family’s health, or strengthen family relationships, then you want to activate the east area of your home. Colors that favor the east area are green and brown. You can also place tall plants or items made of wood, or paintings of trees, bushes or tall plants in the east area of your home or living room.
The West stands for children, creativity and soul work. If you are drawn to creative work, or want to support the children in your life, then activate the west area of your home. This is a metal area, so the colors to enhance and activate the west are the metal colors of white, silver, copper, gold and grey. The west is also an area for development of computers and computer technology.
The Northeast stands for spirituality, wisdom, teaching and learning. If you wish to have more support and guidance on your spiritual path, or meditate or connect with a spiritual teacher, then you can support yourself by placing earth tones in the northeast. The earth tones include red, orange, purple, yellow and beige. Earth is the element for the northeast, and since they come from deep within Mother Earth, crystals are a great activation to place in the northeast area of your home or office.
The Southeast represents fortune and abundance. The colors for the southeast are green, brown and lilac. If you want to enhance your fortune and abundance in the current year, then you can place items with these colors in the southeast area of your home or office. It’s a great area to place small plants and flowers, since this area favors smaller plants, as opposed to the taller ones of the east.
The Southwest represents motherhood, collaboration and romance. Do you want to attract romance or enhance the relationship you have? Do you want to improve your relationship with your mother or positive relationships in general? Then this is the area to activate. Earth tones such as yellow, beige, red, orange and purple will support these goals, when you place them in the southwest area of your home or bedroom.
The Northwest stands for support, fatherhood, friendship and travel. It can also help support you if you’re looking for a good mentor. The colors of the northwest are the metal colors, since the element is metal. These colors include grey, white, gold, silver and copper. If you want to travel, place an image of your desired travel destination in the northeast, along with one or two of the metal colors. This will bring support and good energy to your travels.
