A fun aspect of Feng Shui is to discover what your Chinese sign is, what your tendencies are, and what your strongest colors are. Just like in Western Astrology, there are 12 astrological signs/animals  in Chinese astrology.

Here are the 12 signs in order. Each sign represents  certain characteristics, so when you’re born in a certain year, you will tend to display the characteristics of that animal.  We can also find clues as to what kinds of events will happen during a particular year, both personally and in the political scene.

So here are the signs and some general characteristics of each one.

Rat– charming, imaginative, quick-witted, smart, cautious, kind, versatile

Ox- patient, stubborn, conservative, generous, strong, honest, patient, dependable

Tiger- adventurous, lucky, unpredictable, trustworthy, tolerant, loyal,  emotional

Rabbit-elegant, kind, smart, modest, intuitive, elegant, timid, patient, compassionate

Dragon -charismatic, energetic, warm-hearted, successful, inspiring, romantic, tenacious

Snake -curious, soft-spoken, humorous, sympathetic, intuitive, introverted, generous

Horse -energetic, impatient, loves traveling, independent, charismatic, friendly

Goat– honest, kind, gentle, compassionate, considerate, hardworking, creative

Monkey – enthusiastic, personable, fun, energetic, intelligent, self-assured

Rooster – independent, strong, loyal, popular, brave, respectable, outgoing, entertaining

Dog – loyal, sincere, intuitive, courageous, faithful, generous, kind, responsible, lively

Pig – loving, honest, appreciative of luxury, tolerant, compassionate, calm, self-sufficient

2019 is the year of the pig. Each year is also governed by a specific element. It could be Earth, Wood, Fire, Water or Metal. Those are the elements in the Universe, and being born with a certain element in your sign, will give further clues about your personality and best colors.
